Terms and Conditions
The following terms apply to all sessions and services provided by Dr Emma Rae Rhead.
Booking a session confirms your agreement to these terms.
Nature and Scope of the Sessions
Sessions are private one-to-one meetings. They are experiential in nature and focus on present-moment awareness of your experience and nervous system regulation.
They are not medical care or crisis support, and they are not a substitute for these services. Dr Rhead no longer offers medical diagnostic or prescribing services or medical advice.
You remain fully responsible for consulting with your own doctor and/or healthcare provider, where appropriate.
Personal Responsibility
By booking a session, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over, resident in the UK and able to take full responsibility for your own wellbeing.
Suitability
These sessions are offered to people who are functioning in their lives and able to engage in a self-directed way. They are not suitable for those experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring clinical or crisis support.
To ensure that my services will be suitable for your needs, you agree to inform me prior to booking if you are experiencing any of the following:
- clinical depression
- psychosis
- schizophrenia
- bipolar disorder
- a personality disorder
- active suicidal thoughts or self-harm
- substance addiction
Prior to a First Session
You will be asked to provide some information such as contact details prior to your first session. Please complete this at least 24 hours before your appointment. Your session will be rescheduled if not received.
Attendance
Online sessions are held via Zoom.
Sessions must begin and end at the scheduled time.
If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session will be cancelled.
You are responsible for ensuring your technology is working for online sessions, and for attending sessions free from the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
Confidentiality
All information shared is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties without your consent, except where there is a legal or safeguarding obligation for me to do so.
This includes situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or where certain criminal or public health disclosures are required by law.
As part of continuing professional and ethical practice, aspects of your work may be discussed anonymously in clinical supervision.
Fees, Cancellations and Rescheduling
Sessions are paid for in advance at booking and are non-refundable.
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Changes made within 24 hours will be charged in full.
Fees may be updated at any time but this will not affect sessions already booked.
If I need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be noticed as soon as possible and your appointment will be rescheduled or refunded in full.
Outcomes
Responses to sessions vary between individuals.
No specific outcomes or results can be guaranteed.
Fees are charged for time, expertise, and professional input rather than results.
Ending Work
Either party may choose to end the work at any time.
If sessions are ended by Dr Rhead, any unused sessions will be refunded.
Data Protection
Your information is held securely in line with professional standards and relevant data protection legislation.
