Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of difficulties do you help with?
People often seek support for concerns such as anxiety, overthinking, persistent stress, illness, grief and loss, disrupted sleep, health anxiety, relationship difficulties, confidence issues, performance pressure, habit patterns, medically related fears, or feeling persistently “stuck” despite insight and effort.
What is clinical hypnosis?
Clinical hypnosis is a focused, absorbed state of attention that can support therapeutic change. It is commonly used alongside conversation and evidence-informed psychological approaches to help people work with patterns such as anxiety, stress, overthinking, sleep difficulties, habits, confidence issues, and medically related stress symptoms.
Many people describe it as a state of deep absorption or settled focus, rather than feeling “asleep” or out of control.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Experiences vary from person to person.
Some people feel deeply relaxed. Others feel calm, absorbed, or mentally quieter. Some notice very little physically but still find the process helpful.
There is no “right” way to experience hypnosis.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions take place online. I work with adults aged 18 years and over throughout the UK.
Do you work online?
Yes.
Sessions are offered online via Zoom and are available across the UK. Many people are surprised by how effective online work can be, particularly when undertaken from the comfort and familiarity of home.
Is online hypnosis effective?
Yes.
Clinical hypnosis can work very well online. The most important factors are usually privacy, comfort, good audio, and feeling able to settle without interruption.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies considerably depending on the nature of the difficulty, your goals, and previous experiences.
Some people benefit from one focused piece of work, while others choose a small number of sessions over time. This can be discussed during an initial consultation.
Do you work with children?
I work with adults aged 18 years and over.
