Private Sessions for Anxiety, Stress and Overthinking
Overview
I offer private one-to-one online sessions for adults experiencing anxiety, overthinking, stress or difficulty settling, including body-based symptoms.
This work is suited to those who are outwardly functioning in their lives, but internally carrying a level of pressure or tension that is difficult to settle or switch off.
There is often a sense of holding things together, managing, or maintaining clarity on the surface, while underneath there is ongoing tension, overthinking, body symptoms or restlessness.
With a background in medicine and over 25 years’ experience working one-to-one in private practice, sessions are focused and contained, working directly with the patterns that keep stress and anxiety in place.
How the session works
We begin by establishing what is most relevant.
From there, attention is allowed to move away from surface thinking and into direct experience - including what is happening in the body - so that the system can begin to settle out of its usual level of tension or pressure.
We then work directly with the pattern as it is experienced in real time, allowing your response to begin to change at its source.
The process is calm, guided and appropriately paced. You are not required to talk about the past. No preparation is needed. Simply come as you are.
What to expect
Clients often notice a shift during the session itself, as attention moves away from thinking and into direct experience.
There is often a sense of the system settling, with less effort required to manage or hold things in place.
As the session unfolds, something that previously felt fixed may begin to move or respond differently.
Practical details
Sessions take place online.
I work with adults aged 18 and over across the UK.
I work with a small number of clients at any one time.
Some people come for one or two sessions. Other choose to return for a short sessions.
This work is not intended as crisis support or urgent mental health care.
